Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey started at the age of 14. She trained in boxing kickboxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her amateur debut at age 18 in WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd became more confident after her win, and she won three bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated by the start of the round. Then she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen as she beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's amateur records were marred. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to make her debut as a pro. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the the first round via TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen used her superior wrestler skills to knock down McGill and ended her via third-round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd was unable to put on weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy by using TKO. Ladd was able to defeat Evinger within the first few seconds and was awarded a prize for the performance of the evening. Ladd was victorious in by a unanimous decision following some great exchanges between the two fighters, got her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight, breaking her streak to win. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya during the third round of UFC at ESPN 7. In her place, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight was a unanimous decision.
