Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee of a plant. She was born on 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick. She is one of three sisters. Stone has a talent in the classroom as young children, began in second grade at five. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). The Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone winning Miss Crawford County. Stone together with her aunt, in 1977 moved into New Jersey for a modeling job. She signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week after. The next stage was Europe which she was to spend a year residing with her aunt in Milan, Paris and other cities. However, Stone became disillusioned with the world of modeling within Europe and decided to go into acting while in the country. The film of Woody Allen, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews when she was 20.
