Melissa Suzanne George from Australia is a model, actress and inventor. Melissa George started out her professional career as a model and actress in Australia, but eventually she moved to Hollywood. George is an Perth native who became interested initially by artistic skateboarding and dance. She started her modelling career at the age of teen and earned the title Western Australia's Teenage Model of the Year back in 1992. The first time she appeared on screen was an episode of the Seven Networks' soap opera Home and Away the following year. Dark City marked her screen debut and she's been seen in a number of supporting roles for projects including Alias The Limey & Down with Love. Before taking on her first leading role in a major Hollywood production in the remake of The Amityville Horror in 2005 the actress had previously appeared in several other films.
