Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota, journalist, author, anchor of CNN's morning show "New Day," and Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the board of trustees at Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota is an editor for more than 30 years, reported on news events worldwide and across the country. The award she received was the Emmy Award in her early journalistic career, for her coverage of the detention of Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow award when she reported the details of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford was appointed Honorary Trustees for her work on the Board of Trustees from 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport has been appointed chair of the Board following having served on the Board since 2013. Czekaj Farber takes over from Barbara Streicker from Westport who held the position of chairperson in the past year and has continued to serve in the position since 2006. There 26 trustees are on the board at The Playhouse.
