Alison Krauss

The first wave of popular recognition came from bluegrass musician Alison Krauss in 1990 when she was 19, she took home in her first Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. This was an incredible feat, not just because Krauss was young as well because I've Got That Old Feeling was the third release in her collection. Too Late to Cry was her first album, released at 16 years old. Champaign Illinois native's age of 16. Krauss had signed to Rounder Records, one of the top folk labels, when she was just fourteen. And Krauss's accomplishments at such a young age and her incredible virtuosity has always been measured by her devotion to bluegrass. The oldest, and perhaps most underrated, of traditional American form of musical expression. Krauss is now an experienced artist and producer having gained experience from her time as a teenager phenom. Alison Alison Alison
